Juliet K. Mavromatis, MD FACP

Dr. Juliet Mavromatis, Personalized Primary Care in AtlantaBorn and raised in Ann Arbor, Michigan, Dr. Mavromatis attended the University of Michigan1 for college and medical school from 1986 through 1994. Dr. Mavromatis completed her residency training in Internal Medicine at the University of Washington2 in Seattle in 1997. For 12 years, from 1997 until 2009, she practiced General Internal Medicine at The Emory Clinic.

As Assistant Professor of Medicine at Emory University, Dr. Mavromatis was an award-winning leader and teacher of quality improvement in outpatient healthcare. She served as Director of Clinical Outcomes Improvement and on the Practice Leadership Team of the 18-member General Medicine Practice at the Emory Clinic at 1525 Clifton Road. She received the 2008 Emory Department of Medicine Quality Award for her work leading improvements in the care of patients with diabetes. She served as co-director of the Emory Internal Medicine Resident Quality Improvement Curriculum, and was awarded the Ambulatory Teaching Award in 2009. Dr. Mavromatis enjoys staying current with medical literature and writing about medical news.  In addition to authoring a personal medical blog, "Dr Dialogue," she is featured as a blogger for ACP Internist, a publication of the American College of Physicians, and for KevinMD, social media's leading physician voice.

Dr. Mavromatis is married and has two children ages 8 and 11. She has lived in the City of Decatur for 12 years and enjoys spending time off with family and friends. Her hobbies include running, cooking, reading, listening to music, and painting.
